Perancangan Sistem Informasi Manajemen Tugas Akhir (SIMTA) Dalam Mendukung Proses Bimbingan Mahasiswa ITB Indonesia
Main Article Content
Abstract
This study aims to design a Management Information System (SIMTA) at ITB Indonesia to support the student supervision process. SIMTA is designed to facilitate all stages of the thesis process, from title submission and supervision activities to final report preparation through an online platform, thereby making thesis management more structured and well-documented. The system development in this study applies the Waterfall method, which includes the stages of system design, implementation, and application testing. The system is developed as a mobile-based application to assist students and supervisors in managing thesis activities in a more organized and efficient manner. System testing was conducted manually and showed that all main features of SIMTA functioned properly according to user requirements. The system is able to support the thesis supervision process in a more systematic and accessible way, without relying solely on face-to-face meetings. This study is expected to serve as a foundation for further system development, such as integration with other academic systems and the addition of analytical and decision-support features to enhance the quality of academic services in a sustainable manner.
