Peer Review Process

The JTPG (Jurnal Teknologi Pertanian Gorontalo) publishes only manuscripts that comply with the journal's author guidelines and manuscript template. Every submitted manuscript undergoes a rigorous double-blind peer-review process to ensure originality, scientific quality, technical accuracy, and relevance to the journal's scope.

Peer Review Procedure

  1. Initial Submission
    All submitted manuscripts are subjected to a double-blind peer-review process, ensuring that both authors and reviewers remain anonymous throughout the review.

  2. Editorial Screening
    The Editorial Board evaluates the manuscript to determine its suitability with the journal's scope, formatting requirements, originality, and ethical standards.

  3. Reviewer Assignment
    Eligible manuscripts are assigned to two independent reviewers selected according to their expertise and previous reviewing experience.

  4. Peer Review
    Reviewers evaluate the manuscript based on originality, scientific contribution, methodology, technical quality, clarity of presentation, references, and overall significance.

  5. Editorial Decision
    The final decision is made by the Editorial Board after considering reviewers' recommendations.

  6. Possible Editorial Decisions
    • Accepted
    • Accepted with Minor Revisions
    • Accepted with Major Revisions
    • Rejected

  7. Plagiarism Screening
    JTPG screens all manuscripts using iThenticate. Manuscripts with a similarity index above 25% will be rejected immediately.

Review Criteria

Evaluation Criteria Description

Scientific Contribution The research contributes significantly to agricultural technology and related disciplines.
Methodology The research methods are scientifically sound and clearly described.
Presentation Quality The manuscript is well organized and clearly written.
References The references are relevant, current, and appropriately cited.
Conclusion The conclusions are supported by the presented results.
